How do I create a part order?

How do I create a part order?

An part order ensures that order lines in stock can be completed (generate packing slip). Remaining order lines automatically creates a part order for products in case of insufficient stock. The function is optional, but must be used to complete a customer order with order lines where stock is insufficient.

How do I create a part order?

  1. Select Logistics > Customer order from the main menu on the left.

  2. Find the correct customer order, and click "Change".

  3. The selected customer order is opened, click "Generate packing slip" -> "Packaging slip".

  4. A window opens. Select "Generate part order", or "Skip", to stop generating the backorder. If you select "Skip", the order remains unprocessed.

Order lines without sufficient stock are split from the selected customer order. A new customer order is generated with the order lines and all information from the original customer order filled in. The note field is automatically filled with a note for the order number from the original order.

The part order is processed when stock for the items is sufficient, like a normal customer order.
