A weighted barcode is a barcode that also contains the weight of the given item.

To create an item with a weighted barcode, log in to Loomis—Pay Admin and click on "products" in the menu. Choose whether you want to create a new productor edit an existing product.

The item must be entered into Loomis—Pay in this way for the barcode to be used at checkout:

Configuring an item with a weighted barcode:

• The barcode corresponds to digits 3 to 8 on the barcode.

• The item option Weighted product must be activated on the product card

• Price incl. VAT will be the kilo price per VAT

To find out which code to enter in the barcode field, you must define what the barcode is for the supplier- and article number in the barcode.

See the example below for an product weighing 2.3 kg:
The first two digits are a prefix number.
The next six digits are the product number (the digits you enter in the barcode field on the product card)
The next four digits indicate the weight.
The last digit is a check digit.

Eksempel:
barcode: 2389850601161.
898506 will be the barcode for the product for Loomis—Pay.

When the barcode is scanned at checkout, the products will be added to the shopping cart with the number of kilograms in the quantity field.

The checkout only supports two decimal places, so the weight may be rounded up or down depending on the barcode. In the example above, the item "Warm-smoked Trout Fillet" has been rounded up from 116 grams to 120 grams.
