Quick buttons are found on the main screen in the checkout. They are always visible, quick to use, and can be customized exactly how you want. To create or change quick buttons, log in to the Loomis-Pay administration panel and select Products > Settings > Quick buttons in the main menu.
You can create multiple layouts for quick buttons. In a restaurant, you often have a standard layout, but on May 17th, you change to a custom layout.
Note: Layouts cannot be deleted or removed later.
Quick buttons are placed in groups. A group is permanently displayed in the view, even when you switch to other groups. To create a new group, select New group. Experience has shown that it is not appropriate to have more than 6-9 groups. There is room for 3 groups in width. A group has a name, a color and is placed in the desired order.
To change the name of an existing group, click the group, and then click Edit.
To add a new quick buttons, select New Button. It is not recommended to have more than 24 quick buttons in a group.
A quick button can be a product, a service or an "open area". Open area is used to fill in blank fields to move other buttons further down in the display.
Select a product in the drop-down menu. You can search by name and product number. Note that you can give the button a different name than the name of the product if you wish. This is very practical if you have long product names. Select the color of the button. There is room for 4 quick buttons in width, but you can choose for one button to take up the space of several buttons by choosing the size.
Under Order, it can be smart to enter products like this:
button 1 = Order 10
button 2 = Order 20
button 3 = Order 30 etc...
This is an advantage if you later want to add new buttons in between these.
For example: You add a new button with order 15, then this will be placed between buttons "10" and "20".
To change or delete a shortcut button, click the button.
