How do I set a discount on products with an open price?
Sometimes you want to be able to give a customer a discount, whether it's family, friends or a customer who has earned it.
Discounts are set in the same way for open price items as for fixed price items.
Add the item to the shopping cart. Then choose which method suits your needs:
Discount on the order line.
To set a discount on a specific order line, click on the order line in the shopping cart.
Set the discount, and click "OK".
The discount will only apply to the selected order line
Bulk discount
After items have been added to the shopping cart, press the "%" button above the shopping cart
Set the discount in the window that opens, either by using the numeric keypad, or the predefined quick selections at the bottom of the window.
All order lines will now have a discount adjusted to the selected bulk discount.
For already discounted order lines, the best/highest discount will apply to the order line.
Example:
Product1 has a discount of 50%. Product2 and Product3 are added to the shopping cart. Bulk discount 20% is set. Order lines for product2 and product3 are now set to 20%, while order line for Item1 has retained the previously set 50% discount.
