With IC++ (Interchange Plus Plus), you can see exactly what you pay for each transaction, divided into the three components that together make up the actual cost: interchange, scheme fees, and Loomis Pay’s markup.
The first two components (interchange and scheme fees) are passed on to you exactly as they are – we do not add anything to them or hide anything. The only part Loomis Pay earns from the transaction itself is the agreed markup.
The cost per transaction may vary depending on several factors, including:
Card type – private cards, corporate cards, premium cards, and reward cards have different interchange levels
Card origin – a Swedish card often costs less than cards issued in other EU/EEA countries
Transaction amount – some fees are percentage-based, while others are fixed
Sales channel – in-store payments and online payments may have different fee structures
This means that the same purchase of local currency 500DKK/SEk/NOK, may cost different amounts depending on which card the customer uses.
