When a customer pays with a foreign card in your Loomis Pay terminal, DCC is offered automatically. The terminal recognizes the card’s country of origin and displays the Select Currency screen, where the amount is shown in both local currency and the cardholder’s home currency, together with the exchange rate and applied markup.

The customer makes their selection by pressing 1 for local currency or 3 for their home currency if using a PinPad terminal, or directly on the terminal screen if using a handheld terminal.

The selected option is recorded on the receipt for full transparency. The receipt clearly displays:

• The purchase amount in the customer’s chosen currency

• The exchange rate used

• The markup percentage

• The transaction currency

• The final transaction amount

• A confirmation that DCC was offered by the merchant and that the cardholder personally selected which currency to pay in
